Even a school may need system development. Östermalms Musik & Kulturskola has been operating since 1993. Today, teaching takes place at various schools in Stockholm, Danderyd and Nacka municipality – everything from piano and guitar to singing and choir. Their goal is to show children and young people that music can also be a job in different ways.

Digitalization projects are not only found in large businesses, schools can also find great time benefits in their work processes with the help of customized web-based solutions.
Östermalms Musik & Kulturskola was in need of a new school platform to streamline their work processes. Provide IT looked through their current work process and together with the customer, a web solution with many different functions was planned. We realized early on that the intended web system required development in a web framework and thus chose the well-known PHP framework Laravel.
The assignment
The assignment was started in the summer of 2020 and was completed about a year later. When developing a web system, close collaboration is always required to ensure a good delivery. We developed the school platform in three sprints based on agile project methodology, and ensured that the school received a sustainable digital platform.
The future
Provide IT continues to manage the school platform today, as a web system always requires ongoing maintenance. We hope that there will be more successful collaborations with Östermalms Musik & Kulturskola in the future.
